| Jim Brett has entered
into a new phase of this Africa work. In July 2009 he was
selected by the Tanzania Ministry of Natural Resources and
Tourism's Division of Antiquities to become Director of
the Ngare Sero Project.
This paleoanthropological project was developed by Jim
and a team of scientists including geologists, anthropologists
and conservationists to study newly chronicled hominid footprints
located in the rift valley of Tanzania. Working with local
Maasai Tribal leaders in the village of Ngare Sero near
Lake Natron the Ngare Sero Project Team is looking at the
footprints embedded in lava tuff to determine their age
and habitat at the time they were created by 130,000 year
old Homo sapiens. Hence they represent the oldest known
trackways of early man on the planet.
A limited number of individuals will be able to join Jim
at the site where the footprints are being studied. Contact
Jim Brett to learn more about the discoveries at Lake
Natron as well as many other safari options available to
those interested in journeys through Tanzania, Uganda and
Rwanda.
The journeys created by the Naturecorp Group are of the
finest quality and those individuals who select TREKS for
their East African adventures will be involved in life-changing
experiences.
TREKS Classic Tented Safaris are designed for the discriminating
traveler and their families who desire nothing but the finest
in adventure experiences. Each safari is individually crafted
by the prospective traveler and administered by Jim Brett
and his staff along with his partners at GOOD EARTH TOURS.
If what your looking for is travel in Africa unencumbered
by the normal African "Milk Run" safaris with an abundance
of tourists, then contact the Naturecorp
Group and TREKS. |
